Why Home Staging Is Important and Why It Works.
When I stage your home, I will be setting it apart from the competition. Staging allows you to showcase the features of your home so that buyers can mentally "move in." Today's buyers preview listings on the internet first, so it's even more important that your listing outshines
all the rest. Research supports that most buyers decide in the first 30 seconds of seeing a property if that is a home for them. You may not get a second chance, so that first impression is an important one!
Can I Afford to Stage My Home?
You can't afford not to! Your home is your biggest investment, and your goal is to get top dollar for it in the shortest amount of time. Fact, the investment you make in staging your property will be far less than your first price reduction! Many homeowners just need a consultation with recommendations and suggestions, and they can do the work to prepare the home themselves. Others prefer to have me do the staging work for them, I can do as little or as much as you would like.
What Staging Services Do I Need -- Consultation or Bid?
Consultation: I will come to your home, and, after viewing each room, I will develop a detailed list of suggestions and recommendations to best prepare your home for listing. You will use this information to do the work yourself, and, once it is completed, I can return to "fine tune" any little things before listing.
Bid Proposal: Many sellers do not have the time to do the work or prefer to use my experience and creativity to do the work for them. In this case, I would review the areas of the home you wish to have staged, take pictures and notes, and prepare a bid proposal with the cost for my staging services. This may include redesign, or furniture and accessories rental if I need to supplement your furnishings with different or additional items, or if the property is vacant or is a model home.
Remember “First Impressions” are the key!
The first few weeks your home is on the market are critical to selling at the best price. My goal as an ASP is to help you prepare your home, so that it sells quickly and for the most amount of money. Buyers’ first impressions do sell your house! As an Interior Designer and Home Stager, I bring an expert eye and the vision needed to best position your property to bring buyers in the door and see your house as their home.
